Frequently Asked Questions
How does the beat buying process work?

First you decide on which beat you want to purchase, which rights you want for that beat, and how you want to pay. You will then send the payment we agreed on to the mailing address we provide.

Once We've received the payment we will then ship out the package to you.

If you purchased leasing rights, we will send you a high quality (192 KBPS) MP3 via a 3rd party service such as MediaFire, YouSendIt, or SendSpace.

If you purchased exclusive rights you have the option of having the files delivered to you digitally or delivered via postal mail.

Included in the package will be a CD with the beat on it as a full length audio file for stereo use, on the CD as data will be the beat as a full length wav file and the separate parts of the beat as wav files for computer use, and along with the CD will be a signed/dated legal contract handing you exclusive/leasing rights to the beat. So you will receive a 6" x 9" envelope and the contents will be 1 CD and 1 contract.

What are the differences between Exclusive rights and Leasing rights?

EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS: With exclusive rights you'll be able to use the beat for any and all profitable commercial purposes. The only rights we will have are the ones saying that we made the beat, so my company name will go in the credits as the producer of the beat. Package deals are available for exclusive rights but only on certain beats, usually the prices are what they are though.

LEASING RIGHTS: With leasing rights you can use the beat for only ONE profitable commercial purpose. Say you want to use a beat for your album, well if you purchase leasing rights you will not be able to use that beat for anything except the album. That means you cannot use the beat for live shows, radio play, tv appearances, compilations, etc...you can only use it for your album. If you are on a lower budget then your best bet is to go with leasing rights, the price is much lower than exclusive rights and package deals are always negotiable.

Do you offer package deals if we buy more than one beat?

Yes. Package deals are always available with Exclusive rights and Leasing rights. The more you buy the better the deal is.

Can I let other people use the beats that I License?

No, you cannot the only way that you can do that is if you have your own artist and you are going to put the on the track. You cannot set up a way for artists to your studio and pay you to record over beats that you licensed for you or your artists. Any violation of these terms will result in an immediate void of your license.

How do I know you won't rip me off?

RawKey Productions has been doing business on the net for more than five years now, We've never had an unsatisfied customer and we have worked with plenty of people. We  also get a lot of return buyers that liked our work and way of doing business so much that they came back for more. We always promote the use of PayPal because it is a form of payment that is easily traceable. We know how it is doing business with someone you don't know very well.

What Happens if my album sales exceed 1000 copies?

If this does happen then you will work out a percentage with RawKey Productions so that you can further your music career and make sure we are paid fairly for our services.
Or else we can work out an exclusive rights deal with you but either way you will be able to continue on your venture as an artist.

Will you produce for me for free? We can split the profits 50/50!

No. we do not do anything for free under any circumstances. If you're serious about your music then you won't mind investing in it, it takes money to make money. Trades might be possible, but it depends on what you've got to offer, and if we need it or not.
